Daniel and Lillian met in Dr. Hipfel’s math class during the Spring Semester of 2014 at Clarion University. Because of Dr. Hipfel’s attendance-taking, it was easy for her to find out the name of the smart cutie in the second row. A few Facebook messages later, Lillian figured out what the heck was going on in class AND that he was something special.

One of Daniel’s most admirable qualities is that he is a man of his word. He promised that in his last semester of his Master’s degree, he would ask for her parents’ blessings and begin ring shopping. Three trips to the Clark Building later, Daniel had the ring in tow. On a warm spring day somewhere between mile marker 63 & 64 on the GAP trail near Ohiopyle, he proposed.

This love story began in math, and the rest is history. After nearly a decade together, they look forward to celebrating their love and union on April 27, 2024.
