So their story actually begins on a dating app, Hinge, and at first she actually swiped no on him and to her credit his profile was pretty basic and he made it clear that he was a Christian and his ‘ice-breaker’ was debating pineapple on pizza, not the strongest profile but that was what she had to work with. Now prior to them meeting Lilly had made the prayer that she was done with dating her own way and that she was ready for her ‘Man of God’ or mog for short. Now remember she swiped no, there was a man who seemed to fit the bill and she swiped no, however, she took it to the LORD and said that if he was supposed to be in her life that he would come back up on the profile rotation and wouldn’t you know it, he did. She then swiped right and commented on his camp counselor photo and said, “it’s giving camp counselor vibes”.

Now enter Eric, he wasn’t quite sure about Lilly, he liked that she didn’t have any revealing photos on her profile and that she didn’t lead with that, don’t get him wrong though, he still found her insanely attractive. Now, for about two weeks Lilly’s profile sat in Eric’s likes because he didn’t drink but she enjoyed the social glass, however, Eric made his own prayer and asked of the LORD was he being prideful by not giving this girl a chance who was what he was praying for but couldn’t get over this one thing? After time praying he finally messaged her, and from there it moved form texting to calling and in about two weeks they went on their first date and after three dates on December sixth of twenty twenty four they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. After five months of dating they became engaged and as you can see from the countdown it’ll be a year to date from when they became a dating couple to a married couple.

Now there’s just one more thing that has to be said, as you can see the LORD is weaved all throughout this story, truly the happy couple wouldn’t have meet if not for His divine intervention, it is through Christ these two have been brought together and it is through Christ they shall grow as one, to Him be all the praise, honor and glory for without Him we would not have a wedding to celebrate, not just that of Eric and Lilly, but also of our union to Him should we accept the free gift of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins that we might be saved. Eric and Lilly are quick to tell you, Christ brought them together and it is to Him they owe everything and they hope that this union can be one to preach the gospel, it is their hope and prayer that Christ be the center and that they can make His name great and their names small... and of course this story is to be continued so stick around and see what the LORD can do
