I was running late to meet my best friend, Liz Levenson, at a social dance at the old folks club in town. We'd gotten tired of trying to meet people at bars and had found this little group where students would come and you could meet and dance with several people in one night of all ages in the club. I told her I was on my way there as I was putting my lipstick on. Thirty minutes later, I came in and saw her sitting next to a really handsome stranger. I sat on the other side, and that handsome stranger turned out to be Kevin. He was nice and waltzed and two-stepped with both of us all night long. When we danced, I just remembered how nice he smelled in his button up and that he had a really nice smile. After the dance, all three of us walked towards the door. Liz looked over at Kevin and said, "we had a great time, we should totally hang out again. Here's Lillie's number." We exchanged numbers and I butt dialed him 27 times that night with my new touchscreen phone. He left two messages.
Over the next few months we would dance together more, I learned to brew beer, went to a Harry Potter party to which was revealed...Kevin was a Slytherin. I was late in making my Gryffindor Seeker costume. Kevin showed to pick me up from the party with a homemade snitch. We went to the new Star Wars and learned how many burritos I could hide in my puffy coat (7, one for each person in the group). Nine months later at Thai Restaurant downtown I told him if he loved me he'd let me have the last bite of mango sticky rice. He pushed it across the table and I started bawling my eyes out. A year later he asked me to move to Oregon. My mom threw everything in a box, and we drove my car and a van up.
Hello Friends and Family!
We've Rescheduled to September 24th for Venue considerations, and vaccine schedules.
In these weird and uncertain times, we are making sure to take as many precautions as we can to protect the health and safety of our guests. We will be following state and venue guidelines and will update you as we learn more about them. We are hoping that by June most to all guests will be blessed enough to have received a vaccine. Fingers crossed. If that is not the case, we will ask everyone to wear masks, and we’ll bring the good hand sanitizer.
Sending out love and wishing you Health,
Lillie & Kevin
