Our Wedding

We’re the classic case of opposites attract (especially with our infamous height difference). Hugh is spontaneous, thrives on change, and thinks plans are more of a suggestion than a rule. Lilly... well, she has a colour-coded calendar and gets nervous if the dishwasher isn’t stacked correctly. But somehow, it works. He brings the chaos, she brings the calm. He keeps things exciting, and she makes sure the excitement starts on time before letting her hair down. We first met when we were 12, but it wasn’t until 2010 that things became official. Well, mostly official. Let’s just say there was a brief interlude while Hugh explored the joys of being carefree and Lilly was cat-sitting... (we all know who the fun one is)! Fast forward to 2017 - Hugh finally came around to the idea of a 9pm bedtime, and even started to see the joy in a shared itinerary (especially if it involved planning a trip around Australia). We quickly picked up where we left off, and haven’t looked back. Since then, life’s gifted us with our gorgeous son Isaac, a lovely home, and a few crow’s feet to show for all the laughter. Becoming parents has been, without a doubt, our biggest adventure yet. It’s challenged us, changed us, and stretched us in ways we never expected - but watching each other step into the roles of ‘Mummy’ and ‘Daddy’ has been the most incredible journey of all. Through the chaos and cuddles, each day we find our rhythm (well… most days), and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Together, we’ve created a life full of adventure, structure, chaos, calm and always laughter. We may be chalk and cheese, but we’re each other’s best team (particularly when there’s good food involved). More than anything, what we share is a deep love and appreciation for our friends and family. Having all our favourite people in one place to celebrate means the world to us. Your support, love and humour have carried us through life’s highs and lows, and we honestly couldn’t imagine doing it without you. So bring your appetite, your dancing shoes, and get ready for some seriously enthusiastic (if not entirely coordinated) dancing - we can’t wait to party with you all!

We thought it might help to share some details of what might be on during the days around our Wedding Day. Thursday 1st October Our Big Day! Friday 2nd October- Post-Wedding Breakfast Please let us know if you will be joining us at the venue for breakfast the morning after the night before to nurse some sore heads! Breakfast will be served from XX - XX and will be held in the XX. This will be charged at XX per head. - 24 Hour Party PeopleFor those looking to continue the celebrations, we will be hosting a small get together from 2pm for those who would like to join us. Please kindly let us know by 1st March 2026 so we can make the necessary arrangements. If you will be making the most of your weekend in Kent and staying a little longer, we would highly recommend the following attractions which are located nearby the venue.
