Some love stories begin with a chance encounter. Ours began long before either of us ever knew to call it love.We grew up just down the road from each other, two kids living separate lives, unaware that one day those paths would intertwine in the most beautiful way. Reid remembers meeting Lilly when he was just eight years old at the Covington Country Club. She was sunshine even then. Lilly can’t remember a time when Reid wasn’t nearby, steady as ever, tucked into the landscape of her life. We didn’t know it at the time, but God had already placed the most important person we’d ever meet right in our backyard.Years passed. We grew up. Life moved us forward. And then one night, at a mutual friend’s wedding, something quiet and extraordinary happened, something that felt less like a spark and more like a reminder. A reminder that sometimes the person meant for you has been there all along. What once felt familiar suddenly felt like possibility. The kind that hums in your chest and settles into your bones.From the beginning, being together felt easy, the kind of ease you don’t question because your soul recognizes it before your mind catches up. Our dates on the Hatchie River became a world of our own. Just the two of us, surrounded by the outdoors we both love, building something simple and steady without even realizing it.We shared the same values: faith, family, animals, fresh air, and a future we were both terrified to admit we were dreaming about. We fell in love slowly, then all at once. Lilly loved Reid long before she dared to speak it. Reid loved Lilly long before he knew how to say it. We were both stubborn, both a little scared, both trying to guard hearts that had already chosen each other.Then one night after a Kentucky Derby party, the truth came tumbling out in the most human way messy, funny, honest and it cracked everything wide open. “Why don’t you love me?” she asked, not realizing she was speaking straight to a man who already did. He just didn’t want to be the first one to say it either. And just like that, the walls were gone. Love had been standing between us the whole time, waiting for us to finally grab hold of it.Reid fell in love with Lilly’s joy, the kind that pours out of her and fills every room. Her laughter, her warmth, her beauty that somehow manages to be effortless. Lilly fell in love with Reid’s heart, the kind that is gentle, giving, and good in a way most people only read about. He is kindness in human form. She is light. Together, they became home.On June 11, 2025, during a family trip to Gulf Shores, Reid knelt down on the sand with shaking hands and a full heart. When Lilly turned around, stunned, she breathlessly said, “No, no, no!” which, thankfully, meant the happiest and most overwhelming yes of her life. In that moment, time didn’t stand still… it simply softened and made space for everything to come next.Now we dream of a life built on the things that brought us together; faith, family, land, laughter, and a love that feels both brand-new and decades old. We picture a home full of children, animals, muddy boots, Sunday suppers, golf rounds, and quiet mornings on a little farm somewhere. A life where we choose each other over and over again, whether in big moments or small ones.We still can’t believe we get forever with our favorite person. A lifetime doesn’t feel long enough.Our hope is that when you read our story, you feel the depth of the love God has grown between us, the gentle kind, the steady kind, the kind that makes you believe in timing and in grace. The kind that turns childhood neighbors into soulmates.We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have watched our story unfold, some since the very beginning.

Think formal attire with fresh spring color. Suits and ties, cocktail or long dresses, in happy spring colors and floral prints are wonderful choices. Tuxedos are not required, but festive seasonal style is encouraged. The ceremony will be held outdoors, so we recommend selecting footwear suitable for the setting.
