Lilly and Darius first crossed paths during sophomore year Spanish class back in 2015. At the time, they were just two teenagers sharing a classroom — neither realizing that years later, their story would come full circle.


Nearly six years after graduation, fate (and maybe a little help from TikTok) brought them back together. On January 11, 2024, Darius saw Lilly’s profile appear on his recommended followers list. He couldn’t help but think, “I used to think she was so cute in high school… I wonder if she’s single?” Doubt crept in for a moment, but with a gentle tug on his heart, he decided to reach out — and sent her a message on Instagram.


That single message changed everything.


A few days of talking turned into hours of FaceTime calls filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and an instant connection that felt effortless. When Darius found out Lilly was both a 49ers fan and shared his faith, he knew he had to keep her close.


Not long after, while Lilly was house-sitting for a family friend, she made the first move and asked Darius to come walk the dogs with her.
