When should I book by?

Short Answer: ASAP. While our RSVP date is 11/19/2024...we ask that you submit your room deposit as soon as possible to guarantee the best rate and availability. Since we need to know who is attending in order to plan seating and meals, we recommend you book at least 6 months ahead (AT A MINIMUM) so we can plan our wedding accordingly.

What’s the best way to book my trip?

We are lucky enough to be working with Nancy Finn (Owner of Island Getaways). She is ranked #1 worldwide by Sandals and has numerous other highly-ranked accolades. We have chosen to work with her exclusively as our dedicated destination wedding Travel Specialist. She has arranged the best travel packages for our wedding guests. How much will this cost?

Please contact our Travel Specialist (Nancy) for accurate information, but currently room rates start at $398/pp (based on double occupancy). Flights are $350 from Milwaukee but vary upon booking depending on timing and demand. We recommend you set flight alerts on Escape Flights Chicago, Hopper, Kayak, Expedia, etc. Example trip | 2 people | 3 nights | Roundtrip Flight 3 nights at $398pp = $1194.00 Flight = $500 = ~ $1694.00/pp (set aside $70/month per person starting in April 2022)

What if I can’t afford it?

We are aware that scheduling time away from family and work and financial obligations may pose challenges, so if this time of the year does not fit into your current situation we sincerely understand and hope to see you all soon. We will gladly accept your prayers and warm wishes from afar! Thank you again for your continuous love, as we begin our lives together. We can not wait for the BIG DAY and look forward to celebrating with you all - near or far!

Is there anything that’s not included?

The Sandals no tipping policy means that all gratuities are included in your daily rate, so you don't have to worry about tipping resort staff who provide services like helping with your luggage or working at restaurants and bars. This includes bellhops, cleaning staff, concierges, bartenders, and wait staff. Other NON-included items - spa services - excursions - casinos

What if I find a cheaper price online?

Our Travel Specialist works hard to ensure you receive the best rates possible. If you do happen to find a more affordable option online, just let her know and she’ll see if we can get the same price. This allows us to include you with the rest of the wedding party, so you all get the same group benefits.

What should I wear to the wedding?

The average temperature in Nassau during January is 76 degrees. While we understand it will be warm, we ask that you dress in formal attire as we will be dressed to the nines! Our event will not be taking place in the sand. Gowns and tuxedos are welcome, but so are suits, cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, button-ups, and slacks. Men: please NO ivory or white jackets.

Should I bring a gift?

Making memories in this beautiful destination together is more than we could ask for but, if you would like to give something, a contribution towards our dream honeymoon would be greatly appreciated.

Can I bring my kids?

While we adore your children, our wedding will be an adults only affair. Sandals resorts do not allow guests under 18 years of age.

Can we stay somewhere else?

We would really prefer you stay and celebrate with us at the resort, but we understand it's your vacation too! If you really have your heart set on staying somewhere else, you can purchase a Wedding Day/Evening Pass ($280) Applicable for 8 consecutive hours; arrival up to 1 hour prior to event 8am-4pm OR Full Day Pass ($450) 10am-12am. Transportation to and from would also be required.

Is there a shuttle from the airport to the resort?

Yes, included in your stay is roundtrip non-stop airport transfers.

Do I need a passport and when should I apply for one if I don't already have one?

YES, a passport is required. If you need to apply for a passport: It may take up to 2 weeks for applications to arrive by mail at a passport agency or center, and up to 2 weeks for you to receive a completed passport in the mail after they print it. Consider the total time it will take to receive your passport when you are booking travel. What is expected of me during the wedding trip?

We understand that this is also your trip that you paid for and took time off work for. The only required event we ask you to show up for is the Wedding Ceremony and Reception. We don’t expect you to be around us 24/7 but we will create a group chat to stay connected and provide updates of where we will be as well as a detailed itinerary for optional events closer to the departure date.

What is the dress code at the resort?

Resort casual by day, resort elegant by night. So while the sun is up, your shorts, tank tops, swim suits, short-sleeved shirts, sundresses and light slacks are the perfect attire. As the sun sets and you set out to enjoy the evening, proper attire is required (although elegant dress shorts are permitted in some restaurants).

What is the currency in The Bahamas?

There is an exchange bureau at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The Bahamian or U.S. Dollar is the legal tender in the Exumas. Most merchants do accept U.S. Dollars, traveler's schedules and major credit cards, i.e. VISA®, MasterCard® and American Express®.

What if I want to purchase something at the resort?

Although everything is included, you may also want to enjoy optional on-site and off-site experiences, spa treatments, and make phone calls or purchases in the gift shops. They accept most major credit cards (MC, VISA and AMEX) at the spas, gift shops, photo shops, and the front desk. They also accept cash and Traveler's checks at the front desk, as well as cash at the gift shops.

Is there a place to store my passport/valuables in the room?

Safe deposit boxes are included in every room. Guests with jewelry and/or cash are advised to store all valuables in safe deposit boxes as Sandals cannot be held responsible.

Is there WiFi at the resort?

Most public areas of this resort and all of the rooms have Wi-Fi coverage for your convenience. Instant access to the Internet may be obtained by simply connecting to the network.

What are the average temperatures?

Bahamian temperatures are warm, on average Daytime average: 83°F, 28°C. Nighttime average: 71°F, 21°C. In mid winter, however, the temperatures can get into the low 60's F.

What is the electric current in the rooms?

120 volts, 60 cycles in the Bahamas. But don't worry about bringing your hair dryers; they're already provided in every room.

What if I'm physically challenged?

Sandals will try to accommodate the special needs of guests to the best of their abilities. Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island can also provide special equipment. They must have approximately 60 days notice prior to your arrival to facilitate your requests. What if I hurt myself while on vacation?

There is a Registered Nurse on the premises at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island with daily office hours. A qualified physician** is on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. If there is any prior medical history, medication that is needed or present illness Sandals should be aware of, please notify Sandals prior to your arrival. **For an additional charge.

Is there laundry or dry cleaning available?

Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island provides optional laundry and dry cleaning services. Price lists and laundry bags are provided in every room. Notify housekeeping and your laundry will be returned within 24 hours, dry cleaning within 72 hours.

What if I want to Scuba Dive?

Top-of-the-line equipment for scuba diving is included; however, you're welcome to bring your own. You must remember your diver certification cards to enjoy full diving privileges. If you have any contra-indications to diving you must have a doctor complete, sign and affix stamp/seal the physician section on the medical questionnaire form before you will be allowed to dive at the resort.

Does the resort have an app?

Stay connected with the latest offers and promotions on property, browse resort experiences and island excursions, and instantly communicate with your personal butler (if applicable) by downloading the "Sandals & Beaches Resorts" app.

What should I pack?

Pack lightly; one large suitcase with a carry-on is ideal. Casual wear is perfect, except for formal nights, theme nights, and restaurants that require full-length pants and collared shirts; the dress code is listed under each restaurant description.

What time can I check in/out?

If you arrive before check-in, the resort will hold your luggage so you can begin your all-inclusive vacation right away. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. If your flight departs later, you can also leave your luggage with them and spend as much time as possible beside the sea, soaking up the sun.

What type of airport transfer do I get?

Climb aboard your air-conditioned bus and enjoy your included roundtrip airport transfer to Sandals Royal Bahamian. It's only a 15-minute ride, so sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. And once you arrive at the resort, you'll be greeted with a glass of champagne, a cold towel and a warm smile.

Where do I go once I land at the airport?

Upon arrival, you'll proceed to the Sandals desk or lounge, conveniently located right outside customs at Nassau's International Airport. Your complimentary transfer to and from the resort will be arranged by Sandals.
