Edgar and I met in the summer of 2019 while working at California Dreaming, or as we often call it, "Cali D". I had been a hostess there since I was 16, so it was and still is a place filled with very special memories for me. Edgar started working as a server that June, and from the moment we met, there was an instant connection and an "adorable" introduction. Just a few days later, our manager mentioned that both of us were single, and soon enough, Edgar asked for my number. The rest, as our families say, is history.
One of my favorite memories from those early days was the surprise 21st birthday party our friends and I threw for Edgar. It was such a fun and memorable night, and it led to our first picture together, which remains one of my favorites to this day. About a month later, on July 15th, Edgar asked me to be his girlfriend, making our relationship official.
A few months and a pandemic later, we both decided to transfer from our current universities to the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I pursued my bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting, while Edgar completed his bachelor's in medical industrial distribution. During our undergrad years at UAB, we got our beloved dog, Sadie, also known as "Chae Chae," and moved into our first apartment together. In October 2023, Edgar surprised me with our second dog, Lyla. By June 2024, we had moved into our first house together.
Through these years, our relationship grew stronger. Being so young, we faced our share of trials and tribulations, but at the end of the day, we always knew we wanted to be together. There was no one else in this world I would have wanted to experience my early 20's with, as these were some of the best years of my life, largely because of Edgar.
On November 29, 2024, Edgar proposed to me at the lookout spot over Fairhope Pier. It was the most special day of my life, that is, until our wedding day. Our journey together truly embodies the essence of love built on friendship and laughter. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family! Here’s to the future Mr. and Mrs. Eleogo!
