We met in an EMT class in Santa Cruz during the summer of 2018. What began as study sessions quickly turned into something much deeper. Even early on, we felt at home with each other—and with each others families.


We spent a short time apart while Lily returned to Chico, she came home to be closer to Jerijmia, and weve been inseparable ever since. Though we attended different nursing schools, we supported each other through every step, growing together through long nights, early mornings, and shared dreams.


During the pandemic, we lived with Lily’s family, making the most of quiet days and backyard moments that became some of our most treasured memories. Over the past four years, weve built a home together in Santa Rosa—along with two cats, two sweet dogs, and countless shared adventures.
Today, we work side by side as nurses on the same unit, living out the life we dreamed of when this all began. On our six-year anniversary, Jerijmia proposed on Catalina Island, completely surprising Lily and filling the day with so much love.


We feel incredibly lucky to share our lives—and now, to share this moment—with all of you.
