Lily and Andrew matched on Bumble in October 2019 and started talking regularly through texts and FaceTime. Initially, they decided not to pursue any relationship since they were attending different colleges an hour apart. However, that all changed two months later when they decided to meet after all. They both felt there was something special there, and they knew they had to meet in person to find out.

On December 14th, Lily drove to Andrew’s Philadelphia apartment after a Phantoms game (Lily’s internship at the time) to finally meet, and there was an instant spark. One month later, on January 13th, they officially began dating.

Their relationship started as long-distance, and they faced challenges as they navigated a new relationship in the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they made it work, having lots of virtual FaceTime and movie dates, and visiting each other when they could.

In August 2020, Andrew began pursuing his master’s degree at West Virginia University. Despite the distance, their connection grew and made their time spent together extra special.

After receiving his master’s in May 2021, Andrew moved in with Lily and her family in Upper Black Eddy, PA to be closer to his job at Temple University, and eventually Lehigh University. Luckily, Lily found a job in Marketing with the company WisdomTree in April 2021, which is virtual, allowing her to be flexible for wherever Andrew’s job in football takes him. They have enjoyed spending this time with family and are so grateful to Lily’s parents for giving them this opportunity.

In May 2022, they adopted their first dog, Marley. She has been the perfect addition to their little family, and Lily & Andrew couldn’t imagine their lives without her.

In July 2023, Lily, Andrew, and Marley moved into their first place together in Bensalem, PA, to be closer to Andrew’s job with Princeton University. One week later, on August 5th, Andrew proposed to Lily in her family’s backyard. It was a complete surprise and could not have been more perfect. It was a great night celebrating with their family and friends.

Now, they live in Connecticut where Andrew is the Director of Recruiting for UConn football!
