Alex and Lily met at the University of North Texas in a performance rhetoric class in the fall of 2017, during their undergraduate degrees. Alex invited Lily to go to a Texas Rangers game, and he asked her to be his girlfriend after the game.

Alex and Lily have attended dozens of sporting events throughout their relationship ranging from college football, hockey, and baseball. This is mostly due to Alex... But Lily likes going because of the concession stands.

Alex and Lily went on their first trip together to Williamsburg, Virginia. This trip really made Lily realize how much faster Alex can walk than Lily. While visiting Virginia, Alex and Lily took day road trips to Washington DC, Norfolk, and Yorktown. Alex would first tell Lily he loved her on a day trip to Surrender Field.

Alex spent the summer of 2019 in Wisconsin working at his childhood summer camp, Towering Pines. While at camp Alex would send Lily postcards everyday. After camp was over Lily and Alex spent their time in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where they would go on more day trips. After the trip was over Lily would start graduate school at Abilene Christian University pursuing a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.

After 2 years of long distance relationship, Lily finished graduate school. Those 2 years helped them grow in their relationship as they navigated not being able to see one another consistently. Alex would later go on to pursue a masters degree after being inspired by Lily.

Lily moved back to Fort Worth for her first full time job. They moved in together and decided to adopt a dog named Maggie. They are both so thankful for their furry friend Maggie. She has been the best addition to their family.

They spent countless nights at the dog park with Maggie. One of their favorite hobbies is taking Maggie on walks and playing fetch.

Alex and Lily were able to take a vacation to England, where Alex's dad is from. Lily got to meet Alex's grandmother and the English side of his family for the first time. While going on more day trips, Alex took Lily to a castle and popped the question! They were both glad to spend time with his family and create lasting memories. They cannot wait to celebrate with everyone to create more on their special day!
