Jarod and Lily met almost as soon as Lily moved to Huntington, West Virginia to attend college at Marshall University. Jarod was also a student at the university and had been for a year prior to Lily. They added each other on Snapchat (Modern romance!) and began talking as friends.

While in line at a local bar with friends on a Saturday night, Lily looked back and noticed Jarod in line. When everyone got seated inside the bar, Lily messaged Jarod and asked him if he and his friends would like to come sit with her and hers. Jarod was too shy at first, but his friends forced him to make the move. He finally did, and that was just the beginning of their love story.

Flashforward to 3 years later, Jarod asked Lily to be his wife under Christmas lights on December 11, 2022. (He actually got down on one knee and didn't say anything because of his nerves, but it's romantic nonetheless).

Jarod and Lily have 2 cats whom they love like they are human children, whose names are Leo and Annie. They spend most (ALL) of their free time spoiling their kitties.

Their love story is not like most, but that's what makes it so special, right?!
