Our story began in the sunny slopes of Harrisonburg. Our senior year at JMU we met each other during InterVarsity's August lead retreat and sparks flew when Dave meowed at Lily. Soon after that, we saw each other again and Dave asked for Lily's number after a fateful ride home from the dining hall (it was much faster for David to just walk home, but he was smooth with it).

Asking for her number, we went on a couple of dates and after a month we considered taking a break because of unrealistic expectations, but Lily was patient and wise and we prayerfully decided to continue dating while taking things slow.

Fast forward a year that included us graduating from JMU, traveling across Europe with friends, Lily teaching in NOVA, and David realizes it's time to propose. We plan a fateful(yet again) trip to Harrisonburg, where David has been masterfully crafting a plan to propose to Lily (where she thought he couldn't propose for another couple of months). She said yes and that's about it folks ... for now!
