Curtis and Lily have known each other since around the age of 7. They grew up in the same church, First Baptist in Heath. They were in similar activities as children: children's choir, AWANA, and various sports. However, they didn't start to create memories together until junior high school where they attended youth group together.

They became close friends while attending youth group together and started dating February 7th, 2021. They dated the rest of high school and attended each other's sporting events, proms, homecomings, and still youth group every week. It was a surprise if they weren't together Curtis' senior year of high school.

Following Curtis' high school graduation in 2022, Curtis felt the call to go to school at NEBC in Bennington, Vermont. Thus, starting their long distance journey. While there were times they got to see each other amidst long distance (Curtis spent a year at home as the worship leader for First Baptist, and multiple trips to Vermont or to Ohio) it still is very hard. But they know this is where God has called them, so He will see them through it.

Since then, Lily has been in college at MVNU and they have seen God's good plans for them not only as a couple, but also as individuals.

On a trip to Vermont, Curtis and Lily got engaged. On March 29, 2024, they said yes to each other for the rest of their lives. They can't wait for this new chapter and the calling they know God has for them to become one. They can't wait to live with one another and do the ministry the Lord has for them. Curtis and Lily will be living in Vermont following the wedding.
