Is there parking available near your wedding venues?

For the wedding ceremony, people will have to park in the parking garage located off of Illinois St. If anyone is concerned about walking from the parking garage to the church, we recommend that you get dropped off at the door and have someone else park the car in the garage. You will have to grab a ticket on your way in. Once you leave the garage, you will have to scan your ticket and pay a small fine. As for our reception, there is a private parking lot available for the bridal party, parents of bride/groom, grandparents, handicapped parking, and vendors. There is a max of 25 vehicles. However, there is free public parking right across the street.

What is the attire?

We know that there is a high likelihood that it is going to be a HOT day, but we ask that everyone stick to a casual cocktail style dress code. We want everyone to feel comfortable. Bright colors, floral prints and bold prints reflect that happy summer feeling. If you have any further questions about the dress code, feel free to reach out to us!

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venue?

We are getting married at St. John the Evangelist. This is a Catholic church in downtown Indianapolis. The address is 126 W Georgia St, Indianapolis, IN 46225. Our reception will take place at Folktale Event Center. The address is 243 S Madison Ave, Greenwood, IN 46142.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

We are getting married inside of a church. Our wedding reception will mostly be outside underneath a tent. However, we have access to the house, so people are more than welcome to go in there to cool off, order drinks, use the bathroom, or take some pictures!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes there will be. We want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves. However, we ask that everyone be responsible in their drinking.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift. However, should you wish to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a monetary contribution. We will not have a registry set up. We will have a card table at the wedding reception if you would like to contribute.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We ask that people put their phones away for the actual marriage ceremony. We have hired an incredible photographer and videographer who will help capture this moment. The wedding ceremony is the most important part of our day, and we want everyone to be present in that moment. You may take all the photos you would like at the reception!

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Our wedding ceremony will take place at 4:00pm. We recommend that everyone gets there around 3/3:30. We estimate that the ceremony will be an hour and a half. Once the ceremony is done, guests will make their way to the reception venue. Cocktail hour will start around 5:45/6:00pm. The bridal party will arrive shortly after. We will do introductions, dinner, toasts, dances, cake cutting, and open the dance floor. Around 10:30pm, things will start to slow down. At 11:00pm, the music will stop and the reception will end.

What date should I RSVP by?

We ask that you please RSVP by the beginning of May. This will allow us plenty of time to create our table chart and give a final count to certain vendors!
