Lily and Matt met during high school in 2009 when they were both on the track team for one year. Matt was in his senior year and Lily was a freshman. After reconnecting in 2016 the two started dating while Lily was at the University of New Hampshire.

After graduating from UNH, Lily moved to Connecticut to attend the University of New Haven. Matt continued living in Massachusetts while working at UMass Dartmouth, but made frequent visits often to local breweries, orchards, or cider-tastings.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 Matt moved to Connecticut and the couple began living together full time.

On this day, Matt and Lily packed up the U-Haul and made their move from Connecticut to Virginia with much appreciated help from Lily's parents. While short-lived, the couple enjoyed their summer in Virginia while Lily worked her first professional job as a Forensic Scientist. Despite it being the height of COVID, they were able to see much of the capital including the Smithsonian's National Zoo!

After Lily got the news she'd be starting her new job as a DNA Analyst for the State Police back home in Massachusetts, the two began packing and leased an apartment in central MA. In a turn of events, Matt found out he would be starting as a high school photo/video teacher just a few days before the year began. After loading up the Jeep with as much as possible...including the Wi-Fi...Matt moved back to MA and Lily followed less than 2 weeks later (again with the much appreciated help of her parents and sister).

Since moving back to MA, Lily and Matt have been able to enjoy furthering both of their careers while vacationing and spending time with their families, including a trip to Disney in 2021 with the Barber/Byrne families!

Fast forward to the day Matt asked Lily to marry him at sunset on Old Silver Beach in their hometown. A love story come full circle. They can't wait to share the next chapter of their story with you all!
