Tucker and Lily met in 4th grade when he transferred to Idalou schools. By the 5th grade, he had convinced Lily to accompany him to a Valentine's dance where she left saying "Let's just be friends" and he went home to tell his parents he was going to marry her. Throughout their young teenage years into young adulthood, they remained close friends. They would often vent about their relationships to each other, gossip, be partners in class, and Tucker would occasionally (all the time) flirt, but Lily would roll her eyes and swear she did not want to date him. They both attended Texas Tech University in the fall of 2020 and funny enough were in the same dorm 2 floors apart. Lily would spend her free time ding dong ditching him and Tucker would "forget" his keycard to the building quite often. Still, Lily wanted nothing to do with a relationship. In the spring of 2021, Tucker transferred to Oklahoma State University. They remained friends and would keep in touch but both started dating other people. When Tucker came home for the holidays he would never bring his girlfriend (come to find out it was because he wanted to hang out with Lily). By junior year they both found themselves single and this is when Tucker really started to convince Lily they were meant to be and Lily slowly (but surely) came around to the idea. It took an entire year for Lily to agree to date him and within a month she knew he was the one. With college graduation coming up and a job offer for Tucker in Cincinnati, Ohio, there was no question that they wanted to get married and start a life together. So, here we are and I wouldn't be surprised if instead of "I do" Tucker says, "I told you so".
