Jack and Lily met during their freshman year summer while taking a physics course at NOVA Community College in Annandale, VA. They sat at the same lab table and quickly began talking and hanging out after class. Their first unofficial date was at Olive Garden. As they got to know each other better, Jack and Lily started dating and had many fun adventures during the summer before they both went back to college. Their favorite summer date was sitting in Crystal City, talking and drinking Chick-fil-A lemonade.

Throughout college, Jack and Lily did long distance between University of Pittsburgh (Lily) and Liberty University (Jack). Despite the hours between them, Jack and Lily were still able to make time for each other by going to football games, spending time over breaks, and LOTS of video calls. The time apart made the time together more meaningful! Their favorite shared activities were eating Hawaiian pizza and studying together over Skype.

Jack moved to Florida in early 2021 to pursue career opportunities. Despite the even longer distance apart, Jack and Lily were still able to make time together and go to Universal Studios.

Lily graduated from college and moved back to Alexandria, VA for work. Jack also returned to Leesburg, VA to discover other career fields. They spent the holiday season together with their new cat, Severus.

Lily and Jack get engaged! After many shared life experiences, lots of hours of driving, and coming together through difficult times, Jack and Lily decided to spend their lives together. By the grace of God, their relationship progressed and grew in love and patience. They are so excited to start in this new chapter with one another!

Life update from Jack -- Jack began flight school in 2022 and has been consistently flying in hopes of becoming a commercial airline pilot. He has been studying diligently and working part time to secure a good aviation career. Lily and Jack have been having fun flying together and learning about airplanes!

Life update from Lily -- Lily started medical school at Penn State University this summer of 2023. She has been studying hard this past season and is excited to continue becoming a doctor. Jack and Lily are under 2 hours apart and try to spend as much time together as possible. Their favorite activity is getting pho, summer rolls, and bubble tea on the weekends (when Lily doesn't have an exam).
