White Sands is a beautiful and vast desert area covered in... White Sand of course. It is super unique in appearance and makes for a fun sledding adventure. Located just past Holloman AFB.
Old Apple Barn
An incredibly quaint establishment nestled in the beautiful Lincoln national forest. Supplying only the best apple-based products and fudge in Southern New Mexico. Located about 20 miles outside of town between Alamogordo and Cloudcroft.

Supplying the areas best locally brewed alcohol, it is a must-visit on the list. With the BEST ambience and a huge array of beer flavors, there is no contender in terms of a good evening. Located in the heart of Alamogordo.
Heart of the Desert - Eagle Ranch
With a lot of the charm of Southern New Mexico being held here, it is hard to avoid a visit to Heart of the Desert. The stunning Eagle Ranch is home to some of the best pistachios and wine you will ever consume. Located about 10 miles out of town, just past Bowlin's Running Indian.

Local craft beers, brick oven pizza, and local musicians all set in the cool mountains of Cloudcroft New Mexico.

The Otero County Fair and Rodeo will be in town the weekend of our wedding. The event runs through September 22-26 2021. Enjoy the lights, sounds, food, and fun the fair has to offer.
White Sands Balloon Invitational and Music Festival
For those guests that will be joining us more than a week prior, Alamogordo and White Sands National Park play host to beautiful hot air balloonists from all over the country starting Friday September 10 and ending on Sunday September 12.
While this event is not quite as large as the one in Albuquerque, it is quite wonderful to experience.
Tickets are required for any events at Balloon Park on Friday and Saturday. There will be food, music, and a balloon glow on these dates.
Cost of admission to White Sands Park on Sunday September 12th for the sunrise lift off is something to see and enjoy. There will be no food vendors or music will be at this part of the event.
