Michael and Lily met while giving testimonies at their church. The church had recently gone through curriculum on freedom in Christ. Michael and Lily both experienced meeting the Lord where they were at, in each of their small groups. It wasn’t until the end of the sermon series that they met while each giving their testimonies. Each having experienced the healing touch of our Lord, and His heart for restoration.

Lily and Michael had a wonderful conversation that night with other friends and family as well. Shortly after that talk though, Lily moved back to Kentucky to visit her dad and help him move to Colorado. Lily and Michael did not see each other for a couple of months, not until another major church event where they both attended as volunteers.

July, 2022

That summer was gearing up for a revival in Colorado Springs. Many admirable

minister of the Lord intended to visit and Michael and Lily volunteered on the Salvation Team. Lily was also a greeter and Michael drove a bus to give other’s a ride to the church. After not seeing each other for weeks, Lily recognized Michael and one of their friends. They ended up sitting together and being partnered together on the Salvation Team, leading others to Christ and praying for the event.

August 2023

A year later, Michael and Lily ended up joining a church plant in which Lily was the Children’s Pastor. There, Lily wrote curriculum, designed crafts, and taught a dozen children about the Lord, including Michael’s daughter, Maci. The Sundays that Lily didn’t spend teaching, she spent watching Eli so Michael could enjoy the church and sermon. They grew close.

January, 2024

Michael and Lily attended that church for about a year. Following changing churches, Michael moved into his home and Lily into an apartment. One weekend after moving in, Michael had a shift at work, but the kids were sick with a cold. Lily stepped in to take care of the kids when Michael had to work, and ended up spending every weekend with the family. Lily began working as a respite caregiver for Michael’s son Eli.

September, 2024

The pair continued doing life together and raising two beautiful children when they finally began courting in September.
