Wedding Weekend Q&A

As we get closer to our wedding, we imagine you may have a few questions—so we’ve put together everything you need to know below. If anything else comes up, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Where do we fly into?

Please fly into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS).

When should we arrive?

We ask that everyone be on board the ship by 2:00 PM local time on August 23rd. Because of the time difference, it can take some time to get acclimated. Maybe, even consider arriving one or two days earlier to enjoy Amsterdam. Time difference from the U.S. (August – Netherlands is on CEST): - Eastern Time (ET): +6 hours - Central Time (CT): +7 hours - Mountain Time (MT): +8 hours - Pacific Time (PT): +9 hours

How do we get to the ship?

Transportation to the ship is completely up to you—Uber, taxi, or train are all easy options. The ship will be docked in Amsterdam, so the trip will be quick regardless of your choice. (Don't freak out, everyone speaks English) We will receive the exact docking location about one month prior, and as soon as we have it, we’ll share it with you, including full details (like train route or taxi information).

Where do we sleep?

Aboard the ship, of course! You'll have your own private cabin.

Will we need to sleep on the ship every night?

Yes, that would be preferred. If you would like to request an exception, please reach out to the bride and groom and we can see what we can do to accommodate. Cabin assignments will be completed months in advance, so please do let us know at your earliest convenience.

Will our cabin be large enough for our family?

Yes, absolutely. We will make sure that you are comfortable!

Will there be babysitting available?

Yes! Ship staff can assist with childcare. Simply let the front desk know the morning of if you need evening care, or the evening before if you need morning or afternoon care.

What is the itinerary?

We’ll be visiting several charming Dutch towns, including: Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Dordrecht, and Kinderdijk. You’re welcome to join organized activities or explore on your own. We just ask that you please be back on the ship at least 45 minutes before departure—the ship will leave on time! A more detailed itinerary, including arrival and departure times and a full schedule, will be shared as we get closer to the wedding.

What’s included?

Everything on board! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily. Meal times will be provided on board. Drinks will be available once the bars are open.

What if we have dietary restrictions?

No problem—there will be options available to accommodate dietary needs.

Do we board and disembark in the same location?

Yes—both boarding and disembarkation will be in Amsterdam.

What time do we disembark on August 26th?

The ship will dock early Wednesday morning, August 26th. Please join us for one final breakfast with the newlyweds before disembarking in Amsterdam aboard Transcend Cruises’ Ms. Connect.
