Airport Transfer advice

Tips on getting to your destination once you land

Santorini National Airport(JTR)

>

Fira 10 mins by car

Oia 25 mins by car

Kamari 10 mins by car

Transfer options

1. Taxi

Take a left as you exit the airport for the taxi station

Cost will be around 30-40 euros for flagging a taxi on arrival but it’s not advisable as it can be tricky to get one in high season (June-sep) as it gets super busy

We would advise you to pre book your taxi pick up online (cheapest option) or it’s likely the Hotel you’re staying at will book for you (tends to be more expensive).

Uber is available but rates are higher than the standard taxi/online pre bookings.

2. Car Rental

You can book a car rental on arrival at JTR airport or online before arrival.

3. Shared transfer options(2)

Minibus': These are available as you exit the airport

The mini bus will take on other travelers and stop at different hotels along the way, you can book through the link here:

Public Bus:

As you exit the airport, turn left & you’ll find a ‘Local Bus’ sign for the public coaches.

The coach comes once every hour and cost around 2 euros pp.

The coach goes directly to Fira where you can get off and change to another bus line/ grab a taxi to your hotel from there.

You can easily buy tickets as you board or once you’re on the bus.

Please note:

Coaches are cash only (no cards are accepted).

Baggage will have to go in the coach boot so keep your valuables with you in a separate small bag which you can take on.

Once you reach Fira you can change to bus Line #1 (Press on attachment at bottom of pg to show full display) which starts at Fira & ends at Oia.

This line has 5 stops along the way

1 bus comes every 30 mins & takes 30 mins to each Oia.

Here is a helpful video on more bus lines once you reach Fira to get to your destination if not covered on Bus Line #1 route.
