We met at Central Michigan University, where Cody was getting his PhD in experimental psychology, and Lily was getting her PhD in school psychology. We first ran into one another at the psychology picnic at the beginning of Lily’s first year of grad school. Cody stood out, as he had brought Denna (his bearded dragon) on a leash. From then on, Lily knew Cody as “that experimental psych guy who has a lizard.” We finally met each other at a student research exhibition, and the banter began immediately. Cody started messaging Lily on Facebook after trivia at Hunter’s one night. And the rest is history!

After finishing at CMU, we moved to Maryland together. We have lived in Parkville, Elkton, and now Aberdeen. Our little family includes 3 furry, and not so furry, pets: Denna, Phoebe, and Mosey. We eloped at a courthouse on February 29, 2024 with just our parents in attendance.
