Jack and Lily met just two weeks after moving from their childhood homes to start college at the University of Pittsburgh. Lily and Jack were with a group of friends preparing to go explore the city. Before they left, she decided to thumb wrestle Jack. Jack “let” Lily win and they spent the rest of the night by each other’s side. The night encompassed walking around South Oakland, watching the Office, and even kicking a soccer ball in Jack’s tiny dorm room. At the end of the night, Jack walked Lily all the way (across the one hall) to her room. He asked her to go to lunch the next day and the rest is history.

Jack and Lily spent the next seven years growing and experiencing college with each other, and preparing for the next steps in life together. Lily has embraced all of the good and not so good sport teams Jack roots for, and Jack has adopted a life of training future service dogs.
