Lina will keep populating this page as we go so check back or message her if you have a question not answered.
But first...caution.
Altitude
Be aware of the altitude. Most of our guests are coming from lower elevations who are not used to Denver let alone mountain altitude and it's effects. Denver is at about 5000 ft above sea level and the venue is at almost 9000 ft. For reference, most other major US cities sit below 1000 ft.
- If possible, arrive in Denver at least the day before to gain some acclimation to the area.
- Drink more water than you normally do.
- If driving into the mountains, make stops to assess your comfort before climbing to higher elevation.
- Drinking alcohol will impact you more than at lower elevations due to the lower oxygen content at high elevation.
- You may notice it's harder to hike, climb stairs, exercise, etc. The altitude can also cause dizziness and the feeling of not fully catching your breath (some associate it with the feeling of initial panic attacks). Don't Panic! Have a seat or stop driving. Drink some water and rest until you feel better. If the feeling does not subside or feels worse, go to lower elevation.
Here's a website for more information on acclimation and altitude sickness:
https://runwayhealth.com/denver-altitude-sickness/
That being said, don't panic! Most people can adjust to elevation and enjoy themselves. You know yourself best so take precautions and be aware of the signs.
Drinking and Driving
For the love of god, please don't drink and drive. This venue is at least 25 minutes into the mountains depending on where you're staying. Most of our guests are not accustomed to Colorado mountain driving to begin with, add in the darkness of nighttime and drinking and it is an absolute recipe for disaster. Let's not ruin a fun night with a horrible accident.
Ok now to the questions
When the heck is this wedding happening??
October 10, 2026 -- we know, so far away?? We hope that's not a deterrent but this day is special to us! Plus this gives you plenty of time to prepare :)
Where's my invite?
As a sustainability nerd, Lina thought rather than spend money, energy and material on something that will end up in the trash eventually, let's just keep it all online! No need to worry about losing the invite or forgetting information - everything you need at your fingertips. Plus, now that money can go towards more food ;)
What should I bring for visiting Colorado?
Colorado is a sunny dry place (except when it's snowing -- we hope there won't be any of that this early in the year). Bring (or buy when you get here):
-Sunglasses
-Sunblock (if you plan on spending lots of time outside -- you're closer to the sun which means sunburns happen more quickly)
-Chapstick
-Lotion
-Weather can be unpredictable any time of year! Check the weather before packing and bring layers just in case.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Wear whatever fancy clothes you feel comfortable in! Lina does not care if you wear red, or a pattern with white in it, or whatever things are supposedly off limits.
Just note that at higher elevation the temperatures can be a bit more chill. The building will be heated but if you're prone to being cold, bringing something warm to wear over may be a good idea. There will be coat racks in the venue.
Is this everything?
Not quite....the venue and day are set! However, there's still things left to be determined. Hotel block, schedule for the day, and transportation are some of the things that still need to be sorted out as we progress. Check back to the website occasionally to see these details once solidified.
How can we get to the venue?
Glad you asked! The venue has limited parking which is also used by our vendors, so with our guest count, we literally cannot have everyone drive. While you can probably get an uber to take you, it will also probably be pricey. We are looking into shuttles, but it's a little too early to begin booking those right now. Check back later on the Travel Page to see those details when they are available. If you are determined to drive to the venue, a handful of groups can do so, but just be aware that this is winding, no street lights, mountain driving and if you're planning on drinking, you may want to think again.
