Our Wedding

Our story starts with years of loneliness and grief. Both being widows dealing with our grief journey, we found each other on the Facebook Widow / Widower Dating - Indiana group. On January 27, 2023 Bill posted in the group site for the first, and only time, the day before his 58th birthday. His post caught Linda’s attention and she responded by wishing him happy birthday. After a brief exchange on the group site, they agreed to meet for dinner. Since the first date went so well, they decided to go to the NFL combine the following day. Through time a strong friendship developed then love was in the air.Bill enjoys his music and shares his love with Linda by filling up her calendar quickly with fun and exciting events. They always have a blast together and have created great memories throughout the past few years.On their third date Bill took Linda to see Hunter Wainscott perform. Hunter is one of Bill’s best friends and quickly became one of Linda’s too. Hunter performs one of Linda’s favorite hometown songs, The Beaches of Cheyenne every time they go to one of his gigs. When Bill and Linda started talking about spending the rest of their lives together, Linda suggested Hunter should be the Officiant for their Wedding Ceremony and Bill agreed.In June 2024, Bill took Linda camping at Prophetstown State Park. Linda was apprehensive as her idea of roughing it was a hotel with all the amenities. She didn’t realize when Bill said camping, he meant glamping with all the comforts of home in his camper. The weekend was complete with air conditioning, hot showers, ribeye steaks and his famous Bloody Marys. Linda enjoyed her experience in the wild!In November 2024, Bill asked Linda to go to St. Petersburg, FL to attend the Tampa Bay Blues Festival. Bill wasn’t sure if Linda would be able to hang with him for 15 bands in three days. Linda passed the test and loved this music experience so much that she suggested they attend this year’s festival for their honeymoon.They look forward to creating many more memories together and feel so blessed to have found each other on life’s journey. God does bring beauty out of the ashes!Bill and Linda want to let each one of you know how special you are and how much they appreciate your love and support over the years.Thank you in advance to those who can join us on our special day and wedding celebration.

Downtown Lafayette has many art galleries such as Artists' Own, Beyond Gallery and Gift and The Arts Federation.Purdue University - the memorial union is a great place to check out that is full of restaurants. Check out the Union Rack and Roll Bowling Alley (10 lanes) and Billiards (4 Tables). Drive by Mackey Arena or Ross Ade Stadium.Breweries - For craft beer lovers, Lafayette has two downtown breweries including Lafayette Brewing Company and Thieme and Wagner. Plus People's Brewing Company and Teay's River Brewing located in the suburbs of Lafayette. West Lafayette offers Brokerage Brewing Company. All these breweries mentioned have excellent food to offer patrons.Lafayette Downtown Restaurants -Nom Nom Tacos &amp; Tequila has two locations.
