We met on Groundhog Day 10 years ago and were engaged in November of 2022. We had a small family wedding at the tail end of COVID on 12/31/2022 and are very excited to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family!!

﻿Please be aware that the Democratic National Convention starts on Monday 19-August, so you may want to make your travel plans early.

Parking details for the Reception/Hotel Guests

Drop-offs at the door of the Chicago Yacht Club are possible (including for UBER/Taxi), however unfortunately the small Chicago Yacht Club parking lot is limited to member parking. If you are driving to the reception the closest lot is the Millennium Parking Garage Lakeside. At the reception vouchers valid for 12 hours of parking will be provided for those that have parked in the lot. Also note that overnight parking at the Millennium Garage is an option for folks staying at one of the downtown hotels and/or for people attending the welcome event on Friday. Parking can be reserved at lower rates in advance using the link below. <a href="Millennium Garage Lakeside" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Millenium Garage Lakeside</a> Millennium Lakeside can be accessed from Columbus Drive Northbound or Southbound between Monroe St and Randolph. To park closest to the Yacht Club: 1) Enter the garage and proceed to Kiosk to get a ticket.2) Take the second right and go all the way to the end3) Turn left and park as far down as you can (close to the exit in the corner)4) Walk to the exit in the corner and proceed down the ramp, out the doors and cross Lake Shore Drive to the Yacht Club.

Public Transportation

If you are coming from the suburbs; public transportation is a viable option. The Metra train arrives at either Ogilvie Transportation Center (OTC) or Union Station depending on the line. The El/CTA also drops close by (Monroe Station). Either would be a short taxi ride to the Chicago Yacht Club. Below are some links if you would like to investigate these options. Accommodations

The Fairmont is offering a block of rooms at $239 per night (+$25 destination fee and tax) for our reception! Please call the hotel to book a room and mention the Hanks/Finley Wedding OR click on the link below. The rooms are first come first serve, so be sure to book early. The rate will be available until 7/26/2024. You can book either one or two nights. Note that the destination fee is not charged until you check-in but does get you some additional credits during your stay.

Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park

The Hyatt Downtown is offering a block of rooms at $209 (plus $25 destination fee and tax) for a King room or $229 for a Queen/Queen room. Please call the hotel or use the link below to reserve a room. Note that the destination fee will not be charged until arrival and does offer some additional credits. You must reserve your room by 7/16/24 in order to receive the special rate. You can reserve a room at this rate for one or two nights.
