Our Story

Linda's POV

On July 30th, 2022, I had volunteered to take photos for a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina and to be honest, I did not expect to meet anyone that night. As I was standing on one of the VIP couches capturing the performances, I turn around and see this Korean-looking guy walking up to where I was... I thought "Who is this guy??"... cause, I guess he sort of caught my attention... He sparked up a conversation and we were going to take a photo together. I handed the camera to my cousin May who was assisting me for the event and eventually as I stepped down from the VIP couch, Niko suddenly picked me up to help me down and it caught me off guard. This was our first time meeting and this cute guy is picking me up already??? Ok, what else?🤪🥴…

Anyways, we had to cut everything short because the security guy came by and told Niko to leave the concert. So, that was the last of him I saw...…. one month later, we run into each other at a mutual friend's house. We continued to talk every day for the following week and let's just say, the rest is history. Niko has such a good heart and always took very good care of me from the start... of course I had to snatch him up😉 Waiting all these years to meet him was worth the wait... And here we are, getting married soon!

Niko's POV

It started off a bit fuzzy and funny the first night we met at a local hmong concert. From what I remember, I had a bit too much to drink before arriving at the concert. That whole night seemed to have fast-forwarded and gone by so fast, until I spotted a girl standing up on a couch taking pictures of the event. Time had suddenly slowed down. I summoned up the courage to talk to her and ask her “Hey you! Don’t you sing too?”. Having this liquid courage I then proceeded to ask her “Do you need help getting down?” and proceeded to pick her up and help her down. After that, it went downhill from there. I somehow got myself kicked out of the concert not knowing what I had done wrong. A couple weeks went by, and I didn’t think too much about what happened that night. Linda and I ended up meeting again at a friend’s hangout. Feeling embarrassed, I asked her if she was the one I saw that night and witnessed me getting kicked out of the concert. Thinking that might’ve messed up my opportunity, I cleared things up with her and apologized for acting so dumb. I took a chance and asked her on a date. We went on our first date, and we talked for long hours on the phone. As the weeks went by, we continued to keep in touch. I couldn’t contain the excitement and how much I had feelings for her. On September 16th, I had officially asked her to be my girl.

Throughout the time we’ve been together, we’ve had plenty of ups and downs. No matter what, we both were still there for each other. We’ve learned to be patient and understanding of each other's flaws and imperfection. But to me, she’s perfect in every way. I want to spend every moment and every second with her.
