Eight years ago, I was working at camp, and trying to create the perfect MTV Night skit. With the help of my campers, we dreamed up something to make fun of the male staff. Someone suggested Steve, and I went with it, even though I had no idea who he was. He approached me one day to ask about it and the details. I assured him it was not too mean (subsequently, I had to change it) and he asked me for my number on the performance night so he could tell me what he thought. I gave it to him without thinking. That night, he texted me that he loved it and for one month, he kept texting. One night off, he sidled up next to me at the bar, and he hasn't left my side since.

It was a hot July summer night at camp, when a friend approached me and told me I was going to be the subject of a MTV night skit. I approached the group leader to talk about it and there she was: I had never seen her before. Her curly hair flowing in the summer breeze. I went up to her, introduced myself and asked for her number so I could text her what I thought about the skit. From the moment I saw her, I knew she was the one. A few weeks of texting went by when I cozied my way next to her at the bar one night and we have been together ever since.
