We first crossed paths in the halls of a local Title 1 school in North Charleston, where Lindsay was teaching middle school and Hartley was inspiring little ones in Pre-K. Our classrooms may have been different, but our passion for teaching and caring for our students quickly brought us together. Our very first date was a trip to Bee City, a charming local petting zoo and honeybee farm where you can feed goats, meet lemurs, and learn about the magic of bees. Surrounded by the gentle buzz of honeybees and the laughter of children, we discovered how easy it was to enjoy life together. In 2023, we took a big step and purchased our first home. Now, our days are filled with the joyful chaos of our beloved pets: Ralphie and Felix (our loyal dogs), Boo Radley and Scout (our curious cats), and our turtle duo, Debby and Speedete, who remind us to slow down and savor every moment. Lindsay fell in love with Hartley’s unwavering care, her support for everyone around her, her kindness, and her remarkable ability to see the best in people. Hartley was drawn to Lindsay’s infectious laughter, her adventurous spirit, her compassion, and the way she makes every day brighter. We fill our home with love, laughter, and a small menagerie. We cherish time spent with our friends and family, and we’re happiest outdoors- whether gardening, fishing, camping, or soaking up the sun at the beach. We’re so grateful for the journey that brought us together and for the community of loved ones who support us. Thank you for being part of our story!
