Kevin and Lindsay's story began in September of&nbsp; 2009 at the University of Toledo&nbsp;after being introduced&nbsp;by a&nbsp;mutual friend. The pair&nbsp;casually dated for&nbsp;about a month and then parted ways. Over the next 6 years they&nbsp;would periodically run into each other and make plans to get together. In December of 2012 the two had plans to go on a date. Lindsay messaged Kevin on Facebook telling him she was stuck in a blizzard in Clyde, Ohio. Turns out, unbeknownst to Lindsay, that the message on Facebook said "sent from Maumee Ohio". Still, Kevin persisted. Then on August 28, 2015 the two bumped into each other at the German American Festival, sparks flew. Shortly after, on September 18, 2015,&nbsp;the pair had their official "first date". After that date, Lindsay called her mom to say,&nbsp;"I just had my last first date, ever".&nbsp;

How It Began

On May 1, 2019 (Kevin's birthday), the pair had plans to go shopping in Michigan for their upcoming vacation. Lindsay was planning to work a half-day and come home around noon to head up to Michigan for the outlet malls. Lindsay called Kevin while she was at work explaining that she had a meeting in West Toledo at 11 a.m. that would last until around noon. She asked that Kevin meet her at his dad's in West Toledo so they could leave a little sooner (instead of needing to drive all the way to their home in&nbsp;Maumee to meet up before backtracking towards Michigan). Kevin was persistent that he didn't like that plan and insisted that Lindsay come home first. So, she chalked it up to him being stubborn and decided to give him a "win" on his birthday by not pressing the issue. Around 12:15 p.m. Lindsay headed for home&nbsp;and noticed a missed call and message from Kevin, he wanted to know where she was and told her she was LATE, per usual. Once home, Lindsay walked to the back door and noticed the blinds were closed. She thought to herself, "why is he touching my damn blinds". As she walked through the door, Kevin was in the dinning room, down on one knee with a beautiful arraignment of flowers next to him and a card that read "Marry me?". Lindsay blacked out from excitement and eventually mummer-ed the words "what are you doing"? To which Kevin responded "proposing"? They shared a laugh and of course, she said YES!&nbsp;
