The rumble of the SUNY Oswego campus bus was the unlikely backdrop for a love story that would span over a decade. It was January 2012, the chill of winter clinging to the air, when Lindsay Laman first laid eyes on Russell Broderick. Now, "love at first sight" is a tale often told, but this one began with a rather different declaration: "I hate you," Lindsay proclaimed, her voice cutting through the bus's hum. Russell, taken aback, retorted with a line that would prove to be prophetic, "How could you hate me? You don't even know me."&nbsp;Little did they know, those words were the opening lines of their own unique love story. Over the next few months, Lindsay and Russell's paths continued to cross. They found themselves gravitating towards each other, drawn in by a force neither could quite explain. They were opposites in many ways, their personalities a study in contrasts, yet those differences seemed to fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Lindsay's fiery spirit was tempered by Russell's calm demeanor, while his introspective nature was brightened by her infectious energy.&nbsp;They challenged each other, supported each other, and, most importantly, they made each other better. By March, the undeniable had taken hold. On the 18th, amidst the budding excitement of spring, they officially became a couple.&nbsp;What began on a bus with a playful declaration of hate had blossomed into a love that was as undeniable as it was unexpected.

The next twelve years were a testament to their bond. They navigated the turbulent waters of college life, supporting each other through exams, late-night study sessions, and the occasional questionable cafeteria meal. They celebrated triumphs and weathered storms, their love a constant anchor in the ever-changing tides of life. Through career changes, personal challenges, and the inevitable ups and downs that life throws at you, Lindsay and Russell held onto each other, their love deepening with each passing year. They chose happiness, they chose each other, and they chose to face life's adventures hand-in-hand.

And so, it was only fitting that their wedding day was a reflection of their journey. Surrounded by loved ones, with the echoes of their laughter and shared memories filling the air, Lindsay and Russell stood ready to embark on the next chapter of their adventure. Their story, which began with a playful "I hate you" on a crowded bus, had come full circle. They had found love in the most unexpected of places, proving that sometimes, the best love stories start with a little bit of hate... or at least, a playful pretense of it.
