You’d think after being together eight years, our story would be long, but it’s actually a short, happy one. Lindsay grew up in San Luis Obispo and Nick in Chico. We met while students at Chico State, (Bellas to be exact) and knew we had something special. After graduation we moved to Seattle. We loved the combination of a cool urban city and the great outdoors, but after a few years the pull of home brought us back to California.
In 2016 we returned to Chico, where it all began. We were thrilled to land great jobs-- and even more excited to buy our first home. With much help from Nick’s parents, other family and friends, we have been busily remodeling.
We are suckers for dogs, especially ones with sad shelter stories. Dallas, who joined us in Seattle, got a little brother named Burns, who we found in Chico.
Nick surprised Lindsay with a beautiful proposal in March, and we jumped into wedding planning. While we each have only one sibling (Nick’s brother Joe and Lindsay’s sister Caitlin), we come from large extended families who mean the world to us.
We are so happy to be getting married, we are making it a two-day party. We will have a private family wedding ceremony followed by a rocking reception with all of you at Museum of Northern California Art (MONCA) on Saturday, September 29.
We can’t wait!
