What To Do In Portland

We are so excited you get to visit Portland! It is a fantastic city and there are so many things to do!- Visit shops and restaurants on NW 23rd Avenue- Walk around the Pearl District and pop into art galleries and boutiques- Tour the Chinese, Japanese, or Rose Gardens- Explore OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry)- Take MAX Light Rail to the Oregon Zoo- Bike, walk, or run across the bridges of "Bridge City". There are a lot of them! Including the new Tilikum Crossing that is car free.- Eat! Portland has an amazing culinary scene. From the numerous food carts on SW 10th Avenue to several infusion restaurants in Southeast, there are plenty of fun eats to enjoy!- Sample Beer. There are 58 breweries in Portland. You're bound to find some suds you love!- Venture an hour outside of the city and you can wine taste at more than 160 wineries in the Willamette Valley. Pace yourselves, please. :)

How To Get Around

Portland has great public transportation. There is MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail Service, the Portland Street Car, and busses.Portland also has various taxi companies:Radio Cab - (503) 227-1212Yellow Cab - (503) 922-1234Broadway Cab - (503) 256-5400Portland supports Lyft and Uber. Both apps can be downloaded to your smartphone. The Starlight Parade is in Portland on June 4th and Lyft is the Official Ride Share Partner. Starlight Parade

The Starlight Parade is in downtown Portland from 8:30PM to 11:00PM on June 4th, but road closures begin at 1PM. If possible, try to avoid downtown from NW Glisan Street to SW Salmon Street and from SW 4th Avenue to SW 14th Avenue (see photo). White Space is northwest of the parade, so hopefully this will not cause too much trouble for you.

Parking

White Space is on the Northeast corner of NW Marshall Street and NW 15th Avenue in Portland's Pearl District. There is lots of street parking surrounding the venue. There are also two public "Pay to Park" parking lots close to White Space. One is on NW Kearney Street between NW 15th Avenue and NW 16th Avenue. The other lot is on NW Overton Street between NW 15th Avenue and NW 16th Avenue.
