Our Wedding

Lindsay and I met while she was a senior in high school and I was a freshman in college. She was looking for a prom date while I had just come out of a relationship a few months prior. At the time I was not looking to date or see anyone. I believe God had other plans. As I started to hangout with a college friend, Ian, him and his now wife Emma, had the idea that Lindsay should take me to prom. At first I was hesitant as I had no idea who this girl was. Ian had invited Emma over and brought Lindsay with so we could be introduced. Lindsay brought chai, one of her new born puppies. For some odd reason chai had bonded instantly with me. This was followed by the four of us going on multiple trips to Scooters coffee and allowing us to get to know each other better. Though there was some awkwardly forced hugging at the time, I never knew how much it would pay off. Not too long after, I got Lindsay’s Snapchat information and began to message her. Though at this time she was still very skeptical, I was persistent in trying to talk to her. As I said I was not looking for anything, I had a feeling I should chase this girl. Finally, after weeks of being left on read I got her to consistently message which soon allowed me to get her number. I got her to bring over Chai so that I can I could not only see the puppy but Lindsay as well. We would go on short drives around Lincoln as we listened to music while I had chai asleep in my lap. Following prom and into summer, Lindsay and I started to get to know each other and hangout more. It was not long before I realized I was falling for this girl as she had an gorgeous smile and a booming personality. After 2 and a half years of dating, many adventures, and two adorable dogs that we get to call ours I finally got the courage to ask Lindsay to marry me on January 4th, 2022.

Cassidy is Lindsay’s maid of honor. Cassy and Lindsay have always been extremely close. Of course being they are cousins, they do share a lot in common. Lindsay and Cass both share a love for animals, and caring for everyone they meet. Cassy is the most loyal, hard working gal you could ever have around. Cassy is one in a million, and Lindsay and Cass’s relationship only grows stronger each year

Emma and Lindsay met in a time where both of them had some growing up to do— 6th grade. Both being horse girls, they bonded over their love for horses and started riding together. Fast forward to now, they camp with their horses together and Lindsay inspired Emma to get a dog. Lindsay was Emma’s maid of honor, so it’s been fun trading places and doing more wedding planning. Both Lindsay and Emma have a passion for nursing and drinking iced coffee, even in the cold Nebraska winters.

Abby, Lindsay's sister, is someone who is always down for a good dance party, and brings a nice sense of calmness to a situation when needed. Abby LOVES weddings, cake, and anything to do with getting all prettied up for events. Don't let her girly side fool you, she also is one who can get down and dirty on a four wheeler and can show up most of the boys when given the opportunity to.

Kenzie is Alec’s sister. Kenzie is always one to crack “your mom” jokes or share a giggle over the smallest things. She always keeps everyone entertained, whether or not she is even trying. Her positive spirit is contagious, and everywhere she goes she spreads happiness. If you ever need a laugh, just talk to Kenzie for 5 minutes!

Sam is Lindsay’s cousin in law (to be)! Sam is one of the most kind people you will ever meet. A genuine soul who can also bust it down on the dance floor or sit down and have a deep conversation with, Sam is the real deal. She has a heart of gold, and is truly a member of the family. Every time we hang with Sam, we leave feeling like we are so blessed to have her in our family.

Carlie is Lindsay's sweet, full of life, beautiful cousin. Carlie and Lindsay grew up together on horseback so it seems. Countless rides and hours of laughs in the saddle, Carlie is always down for a good trail ride or some barrels.

Arthur is our 4 legged child who is so talented we decided he could join the wedding party. We love Arthur !

Spencer is Alec’s best man! Spencer is one you can always count on, always loyal, and always ready to go downtown and have a good time with. His kind soul shines through in everything he does, including his line of work which is to be a doctor. Spencer’s love for life is one that is also contagious. A genuine person who will always, at the end of the day, be there, we love Spence.

Jake met Alec at a pivotal time in his life— freshman year at Wesleyan! Both of them joined the fraternity together and the rest is history. Jake is Breckin’s god father, as he says, and every time he’s over, he mostly hangs with her. Kidding! Jake is an amazing friend to Alec, and is one to always stand up for his friends or just grab a drink together.

Dalton and Alec grew up together in Omaha. From little kids to both now engaged and one married, they truly have done it all together. Not many people can say they’ve survived preschool through college and now the marriage stages of life.

Jordan is Alec’s brother. Don’t let his size scare you, the guy is hilarious. He’s a strong dude with a great laugh, and always is cracking jokes in the best (and worst) times. Jordan brings loyalty to the table, and is the definition of a loving brother towards Alec.

Josh is Lindsay’s wild brother. He and Alec have learned to love each other and appreciate what each can offer. Josh loves his truck and he loves women

Alexis and Lindsay have grown up together since the age of 5. Alexis has a zest for life that no one can match. She radiates kindness and loyalty to all she meets, and she is one that is truly loved by all. Alexis and Lindsay can always pick up wherever they left off no matter how much time has passed. Everyone needs an Alexis in their life.

Chase is Lindsay’s cousin. Lindsay and Chase grew up together and are more like siblings. Chase is one who you can always count on to have a good time in the mountains or also make hilarious jokes at the most inappropriate times. He never fails to put a smile on our faces, and based on how Lindsay and Chases relationship is, flower man is the perfect role! Chase is one we can always count on, and 21 years of being like brother and sister is how we figured that out. We love Chase!
