After postponing our original wedding date on May 2nd, 2020 due to COVID-19, we are all set for our wedding to now happen on Saturday, June 5th, 2021. The venue is outdoors, with plenty of space for a socially distant celebration.
Hopefully, by this point, most people will have had the opportunity to be vaccinated, but as we have family in attendance of all different ages, we'd ask everyone to be cognizant of the health & safety of themselves & others.
Whilst we would of course love for everyone to be able to attend, but we totally respect & understand if folks don't feel comfortable and if we don't see you on June 5th, we would love to safely celebrate with you some other time!
Also, if you are planning on coming to the US to the UK for our wedding, we'd ask that you follow the guidelines set out here, to ensure compliance with any travel restrictions that may be in place.
Like many romantic, everlasting love stories, this one started in a bar. Lindsay was in Chicago on a whim, having taken a spur of of the moment long weekend trip to the Windy City alone. Working in her company's Chicago office on that fateful Friday, she met Adam. They sat behind one another all day, casually talking and chatting. Come evening, the team was going out for someone's birthday, so Lindsay joined in.
At Parlor West Loop, Adam smoothly sat down next to Lindsay from the start. Immediately, they began talking about everything from British TV shows (he was baffled Lindsay hadn't seen Peep Show), music (Lindsay's first introduction to Alt-J), and much more. The icing on the cake came when Adam swung his hand about a bit too much and knocked both of their full beers into Lindsay's handbag. Love at first sight.
On May 5th, 2018, Adam proposed sweetly and beautifully in the heart of Central Park. They were taking a normal walk along the reservoir, stopping at the top to look down on the city skyline. Out of nowhere, Adam was on his knee; Lindsay said yes before he could barely get any words out! Followed by multiple FaceTimes and calls to family/friends, they celebrated at their local bar the rest of the night. An engagement is a surprisingly great way to get free tequila shots and margaritas on Cinco De Mayo.
