Winfrey Point

Picture of Winfrey Point
950 E Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX 75218, USA

Winfrey Point is located on the south east side of White Rock Lake, behind the Dallas Arboretum. The road to access is Lawther Dr. Unfortunately, it is not marked by a traffic light, but it is near the Dallas Arboretum, which acts as a great landmark, and is accessed from only one road, State Highway 78 (Garland Rd).

If coming from the south:

From I-30 (east to west), take exit 49A, Winslow Ave. Head north and veer right towards E Grand Ave. Continue on to Garland Rd. Once you cross over the bridge of White Rock Creek (should see the lake on your left), it is the first left you can take BEFORE you reach the Dallas Arboretum parking lots and entrance. Follow the road to the right. You will come to a T-intersection where you can turn left into a parking lot or right to go up further. Turn right, as the parking lot for Winfrey Point is actually at the top. You will arrive at a white building with a roundabout to the left and a parking lot to the right. Please park to the right.

If coming from the north from US-75 N Central Expressway:

Exit Northwest Highway (loop 12) and go east. Turn right on Buckner Boulevard (about 6 miles away). Take until you reach the Garland Rd traffic light and turn right (about 1.5 miles away). Immediately after you pass the Dallas Arboretum on the right, you will turn right onto Lawther Dr. If you reach the bridge for White Rock Creek, you have gone too far. Follow the road to the right. You will come to a T-intersection where you can turn left into a parking lot or right to go up further. Turn right, as the parking lot for Winfrey Point is actually at the top. You will arrive at a white building with a roundabout to the left and a parking lot to the right. Please park to the right.
