Our first date was in February of 2025, and was a double date set up by our good friends Natalie and Parker - Lindsay's mission companion and Matt's roommate. We went go-karting, and Lindsay was miserably slow but we both had fun and Matt decided that he'd give her a second chance even though she was clearly not a pro go-karter. We went on a second date to Red Robin for endless fries, a third date to ride the ferris wheel at Scheels (which was broken)... and after that we were pretty much inseperable. Our first kiss was while watching the first Star Wars movie (The Phantom Menace - very romantic), which Lindsay had never seen and Matt insisted on showing her.

A short three weeks after their first date and after being together every day, we were both obsessed with each other, Matt asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend, to which she obviously said yes!

The rest of winter semester and into spring we did lots of fun things together! Matt took Lindsay back to Idaho and we went to Yellowstone. We went to the temple a bunch, picked up golf, and ended up taking spring classes together. We very quickly became best friends!

It didn't take very long for us to realize that we wanted to spend forever together! So we picked out a ring and started planning for a December wedding! At the end of June, Matt proposed at the top of a hike, and it was perfect. Lindsay had no idea that he already had the ring, so he caught her by surprise! She said YES!

Planning a wedding through the semester has been crazy but super fun! We could not be happier and planning for our life together has been way too fun :)

We couldn't be more excited to start the next part of our life side by side! We will be sealed in the Jordan River Temple for time and all eternity and can't wait! December 19 is coming up fast and we are counting down the days!
