Things to Do

Eat!

Charleston is known for having amazing food! It's hard to find a bad place to eat. A few of our favorites are:

Around Town

There are tons of activities to do in and around town!

- Shop on King Street or at the Charleston City Market filled with local vendors

- Visit a Plantation and see the beautiful gardens: Magnolia, Middleton, and Boone Hall are favorites

- See Fort Sumter National Monument, a sea fort located in Charleston Harbor best known as the site upon which the first shots were fired that started the Civil War, at the Battle of Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861.

- Learn about the city's history by taking a Palmetto Carriage Ride through downtown. http://palmettocarriage.com/

- Play golf! There are tons of beautiful golf courses in the area: http://www.charlestongolfguide.com/

- Hit the beach! Take a quick drive over the Ravenel Bridge and visit Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palm. Or head over to Folly Beach for some sun! http://www.follybeach.com/

- Cool off by enjoying a refreshing cocktail at a rooftop bar for views of the city! The Vendue & Market Pavilion Bar are two favorites

- Walk the Battery: Head over to East Bay and take a walk along the Charleston Harbor. Snap a photo in front of the Pineapple Fountain and then you can't miss Rainbow Row… a charming strip of 13 pastel colored homes on the Battery.
