Our Wedding

We found love in a hopeless place - Output Club in Brooklyn, NY

May 2016 - After meeting during a concert, we immediately clicked. Both expecting nothing but enjoying each other's company. I was moving to Columbus, while Christian lived in Queens. After a couple "friend" visits we decided to take the next step (Christian forced me) and became boyfriend and girlfriend in October 2016.After being long distance for 1 year, Christian packed up a truck and moved to Columbus for a job at JPM (and maybe me too). After a quick 9 months, it was back to NYC for Christian, who couldn't stay away from Goldman Sachs.A couple months later, in September 2018, we moved into our tiny Williamsburg apartment with Lane. We stayed there for a couple years, grew friendships, found our favorite restaurants (shout out to Wei!!), and really developed our relationship.Christian proposed August 2, 2020 (after some encouragement from me) and I said yes! Don't ask about the story, but the ring is BEAUTIFUL.We are so excited to be married in Old Forge at Great Pines on 9/11/21. We hope you will join us for a morning of remembrance&nbsp;and an evening of celebration. We can't wait to see you all there!

Our Story

The hotel block will be held until 3/31/21, so we suggest booking your room as soon as you know you can come! Please call as the website is not always up to date with available options. There are not many other hotel options in town, but plenty of fun AirBnB options. There will be shuttles to and from Water's Edge Inn for the wedding. If you choose to stay at an AirBnB you will need to drive. Parking is available on site. There are no Uber/Lyft/Rideshares in the area.

Syracuse is the closest airport, but a 2 hour drive from Old Forge. If you plan on flying, make sure you rent a car.

Travel

Hike up bald mountain and climb up the fire tower for a quick, fun, beautiful, 45-60 minute hike (up and down). This is one of our favorites! You can find the trail head just off Route 28 on Rondax Road - there will be signs for Bald Mountain

Rondax Fire Tower

Black Bear Mountain Trail is a 4.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Inlet, New York that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Choose this hike if you're in for more of a challenge!

Moss Lake Trail is a 2.5 mile loop trail located near Eagle Bay, New York and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Shop around this cute, massive store - just a short walk from Water's Edge. They have books, decorations, souvenirs, cookware, candy, clothes, blankets, crafts, literally anything you could think of. Fun to explore!

Old Forge Hardware & Furniture Co.

Boat rentals if anyone is interested in hitting the lake for a day! This option is better if you have a car and can drive to Palmer Point - off route 28 on 4th lake.

Palmer Point Boats & Cottages

Second option for boat rentals - you can pick up the boats from Old Forge, walk-able from the Water's Edge Inn.

The Mill - owned by our dear friend Adam, this is our #1 recommendation! Slickers - on 1st lake pond - you cant go wrong the French Dip or Wedgie Salad! The Lean-To - at Great Pines resort Tony Harpers - in Old Forge, known for their pizzas and clams! If it is a nice day, check out the roof top bar Screamin Eagle - in Inlet, our spot for pizza, wings, and a cold brewski! Mountainside BBQ - off Route 28, our favorite spot for home made BBQ, they make a mean veggie burger &amp; grilled salad too! Blue Line - locations in Inlet and Old Forge, the cutest lil coffee shop Keyes Pancake House &amp; Walts Diner - classic diner breakfast spot Back Door - classic bar food with indoor and outdoor seating options Keen Kitchen - more upscale &amp; fresh, great for lunch or dinner The Donut Shop in Eagle Bay: Stop by for a coffee and old-school cake-style donut (plain or cinnamon)
