Both the ceremony and the reception will be held outdoors, and we are expecting a heat wave. The ceremony will be held on the lawn, among a large oak tree, where all the seats will be shaded, and the reception will be under a tent. We will have large fans to help to keep the temperature cooler, and lots of water for our guests to stay hydrated.

Due to the unusually hot weather, we want to be sure that everyone is comfortable. Please plan to wear lightweight, summer "cocktail" attire. Suits and ties are not necessary.

Gold Hill Gardens has available onsite parking for up to 70 vehicles, including 3 handicapped stalls. This will be plenty to accommodate our guests. Do not park offsite on Gold Hill Road or neighboring roads. Vehicles parked on Gold Hill Road and/or neighboring roads will be towed at owner’s expense.

If you are in the upper parking lot, you may opt to take a golf cart down to the entrance. Then there will be ample signage to lead you along a paved path to the ceremony site. There will be a golf cart available to assist our guests, as needed, both to the ceremony, and from the ceremony to the reception area.

Gold Hill Gardens is located off of Highway 80 between Sacramento and Auburn. Roseville, Rocklin, and Auburn are all good options for lodging. We have arranged several room blocks for our guests. Please visit the “Travel” page on this site for specific hotel information. Please note that to take advantage of the special rates, reservations must be made by June 4.

Guest may arrive at 4:30, which will allow ample time for parking and the short walk to the ceremony site. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm and will be immediately followed by refreshments and lawn games. Dinner and dancing will follow, and the party will end at 10:00 pm.

We are planning to have an “unplugged” ceremony, so please plan to put your cellphones away then. But please do take pictures of the rest of the event and be sure to share with us!

Yes! Please be safe! Gold Hill Gardens only asks that you pick up your car by 12:00 pm the next day.
