It was a late night and we were both working night shift at our jobs. Zach was working 6p-6a at the Lincoln County Sheriffs office as a Deputy, and I worked 5p-5a at the Lincoln County Hospital.

Zach came into the hospital with a little boy for the Emergency Room and had to keep an eye out on him while he was in there.

I remember seeing Zach up at the nurses desk in his uniform and thinking to myself “ooo he’s good looking”.
The nurses working at the time kept texting me about him saying “he’s newly single” “you should go talk to him”.
I thought they were crazy and just kept telling them “No, he’s not gonna be into me.” or “He’s working, looking for a girl is the last thing on his mind right now!”

It was an immediate attraction I had to Zach and I couldn’t tell what it was. He was just different then the rest and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

Later that morning my coworkers and I all decided to go to breakfast after work and decided to invite Zach along..he gladly approved and was excited to get some food and be off work.

We all talked through breakfast and I was shy around him (shocker).
The next morning I decided to message him and we talked about the crazy night at work we both had the night before.
Days went by and before I knew it we were constantly texting each other about anything and everything.

Zach had a little puppy named Ruger at home and he was my excuse to ask Zach about coming over to see the puppy and hanging out with him. We started hanging out more and more when we got the chance and I quickly found out how special of a person he is and I couldn’t see myself without him. It was so quick how fast we fell for each other, but it felt right.

We have now been together for 2 years and he’s my very best friend and my person. He has a heart of gold and never fails at making me laugh and smile and feel beautiful and special everyday.
I can’t wait for our special day and for what the future holds for us!
