What’s An Unplugged Ceremony?
We have hired an excellent team of photographers and videographers to capture our day. We would appreciate all guest phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony. This is extremely important to us. We ask you to be fully present with us as we share these moments with you. We promise to share all the beautiful professional pictures captured after the wedding!
Plus, it would be great to not have people holding up their phones in all of the professional photos. Thank you for respecting this request!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both! Weather permitting. The ceremony will be held at the gazebo, the cocktail hour will be held outside of the barn on the patio and the reception will be held indoors in the upper level of the barn. Our reception space is limited so when your table is dismissed for dinner you will be served buffet style in the lower level of the barn and make your way up to your table in the upper level. Our venue has a rain plan in place in case of inclement weather.
Where are the restrooms?
During the ceremony you may use the restrooms located in the house near where our welcome table is located. This door will be locked after the ceremony. During the cocktail hour and the reception you may use the restrooms located on the lower level of the barn.
What time does the ceremony start?
A time for the ceremony will be given on your formal invite and we ask that you arrive and be in your seat NO LATER THAN 15 minutes before the ceremony starts. You may arrive earlier than 15 minutes and it will give you time to park, sign the guest book and find your seat.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the barn patio where we will be serving finger foods and beverages
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
The reception will end at 10pm and there is no official after-party. Anyone who wants to come and have a few more drinks after the reception is welcome to join us at a rooftop bar called The Foundry. The Foundry is at the AC Hotel Dayton and closes at 12am.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. Named children on the invitation are invited. When you RSVP you will be able to include them. Please consider children must be supervised by parents at all times. Many of our guests are parents of littles under the age of 3. If your little needs a break during the ceremony please note that the house entrance near our welcome table will be unlocked to take a break until they’re ready to return.
Will alcohol be provided?
Yes! The drinks are on us and the bartenders will be accepting tips. Please have your ID with you. If you decide you’d like to let loose please be responsible and have a plan in place for an Uber or Lift if necessary.
Can I smoke on the property?
The property is non smoking but there is a location next to the barn ramp that has a smoking area. Please refrain from smoking anywhere else on the property. Smoking elsewhere on the property will result in fines from the venue.
Can I bring a plus one?
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitation.
What is the dress code?
We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. The dress code is Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire. For example: Ladies you can wear cocktail, midi or floor length dresses and gentlemen can wear slacks and a button down shirt with or without a tie. Ladies we kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the Bride: Whites, Ivories and Creams.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We do not have a hotel block. The hotel closest to the venue is The Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 5655 Wilmington Pike, Dayton. If you would like to be in downtown Dayton for your stay we would recommend the AC Hotel Dayton, 124 Madison St, Dayton.
Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Downtown Dayton is a great place to start. We love Warped Wing Brewing Company, Moeller Brew Barn and Toxic Brew Company. Press Coffee Bar and Ghost Light Cafe have amazing coffee. The Oregon District has many restaurants to choose from. Some of Dayton’s best places to visit are The Dayton Art Institute, The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Carillon Historical Park, Boonshoft Muesum of Discovery (Kids Science Museum) and 2nd Street Market.
