Funnily, we can't remember the first time that we met! Ever since we started college, we knew of each other, but never really talked. But that all changed one January day in Shorter's dining hall, the Caf. Lindsay was looking for a place to sit and happened to sit across from Cooper at a table of friends. We got to talking about La La Land, its impact on cinema, and our other favorite movies. Both of us were immediately struck by how well we clicked even though neither of us were looking for any kind of romance at the time. One conversation over lunch turned into countless texts, talking about job offers and New York trips. Cooper even cast Lindsay in his short film, Without Waffles! When they unintentionally color-coordinated when Cooper came to watch Lindsay perform at a singing competition, we took our first picture together, the very first of many!

A picture together from our first date! Technically, you could call this our second after one day the week before we had met for lunch and a Barnes and Noble excursion to recount our Spring Break happenings, but this was the first one we officially called a date. We went to the Tellus Museum to see a planetarium show (inspired by our love of La La Land!), and afterwards, we were enjoying ourselves so much we took a detour on our way back to campus to visit Calhoun's Rock Garden.

Our first picture together as boyfriend and girlfriend, three days after Lindsay accidentally made a move and asked Cooper to be her boyfriend, and didn't realize it until several hours later! Just the next week, Cooper would utter the first "I love you," in the most unsuspectingly romantic of places: the Cookout drive through! Illuminated by the light of the menu listing all 40 milkshake flavors, no words had ever sounded sweeter.

The "Fourth" was with us on May 4th, 2023, when we graduated from Shorter University with degrees in Communications and Musical Theatre. After spending such a wonderful semester getting to see each other every day on campus, we were sad to switch to semi-long distance, but we were committed to making it happen!

Summer was filled with the sweetest weekends together, celebrating friends, spending time with family, and, of course, lots of movies! We even took our first vacation together, up in Blue Ridge with Cooper's family!

Our busy Fall was filled with memories, like going to the fair, seeing concerts, musicals, and movies, and the bi-annual Hunt family singing on Labor Day weekend, where Lindsay got to join the Hunts in singing hymns and songs of praise for the community! A big milestone, which we somehow got no pictures of, haha!

Part 1 of Cooper's master proposal plan! While celebrating Christmas at the Williams home, we received a gift certificate from "Lindsay's parents" (it was him all along!) to go to the Fernbank Science Center Planetarium! Little did she know that Cooper had an even bigger surprise in store...

IT HAPPENED! Upon arriving at the planetarium, Lindsay was impressed by the series of coincidences, like the personal escort to the planetarium, the showing being completely empty except for us, and the La La Land soundtrack that began playing as the stars swirled above our heads. Suddenly, the music began to swell, and Cooper stood up, took Lindsay's hands, and led her to the middle of the room. He knelt down and pulled out the most beautiful ring that we had selected together a few weeks before, and the rest is history!

We took the most beautiful engagement photos that felt like they were right out of a movie! It got us super excited to celebrate our special day with our family and friends!
