If you know Lindsey, you know all animals are near to her heart, especially dogs. As a rescue advocate, she’s spent countless hours volunteering for many local rescue organizations. Together Lindsey & Brian have fostered and saved over 15 dogs. If anyone can find a dog in need, it’s Lindsey. Since moving to Seguin, she’s found a new rescue home to volunteer her time, Sweet Dreams. Sweet Dreams took in Bell, a foster dog of Brian and Lindsey. Bell is a beautiful GSP who was surrendered by her family at age 12 with possible cancer. Bell had lived the last 18 months in an outdoor pen before coming into the BunchPotter home as a foster. Learning that Bell was a possible fospice case, Lindsey reached out to Sweet Dreams asking if they could give Bell a forever home. Without hesitation, they agreed to take her in. Bell is now living her best life with a renewed leash on life. She walks a few miles a day, has learned new tricks, and loves her new sanctuary family. She sleeps in a bed every night and never has to live outside again. Sweet Dreams Senior Pet Sanctuary is moving to a new home on 10 acres so they can open their doors to more senior pets in need. When Brian was part of the Young Mens Business League (YMBL) in Austin he was introduced to the Austin Sunshine Camps and has continued to contribute to their mission. Members of YMBL contribute and support the Sunshine Camps by volunteering and fund raising to help the Camps fulfill their mission and vision.

The mission of Austin Sunshine Camps is to provide the magic of overnight camp without the barrier of cost; while keeping the Vision of a world where all children have a place to grow, connect, and explore.

When Brian volunteered with the Sunshine Camps, he would pick up campers (usually multiple siblings) from schools close to their home and bring them to camp. Through this experience he saw both the excitement of the kids about to experience overnight camp and the reality of kids who live 5 minutes from the river which runs through town, but had never even seen it or been on it before.

Austin Sunshine Camps provide the opportunity for these kids to have that experience without them or their parents having to worry about the cost.
