I had never been on a blind date before and after several attempts to cancel or postpone, Steven finally talked me into letting him take me on a date. We met at FIVE restaurant downtown Birmingham in January of 2015 and we have been inseparable ever since. The summer was filled with love, adventure, and baseball games.  When Steven told me he wanted to move to be closer to me, I thought he was crazy! I should’ve known then that this man loved me because he moved from Birmingham civilization to Corner, Alabama a.k.a the country.  I knew that this would be a test of our relationship, but it wasn’t at all.  He loved it!  We have continued to fall deeper and deeper in love over the last 4 and a half years. Through the good times and bad, one thing remains constant and it’s our love. 

I had patiently been waiting on Steven to pop the big question. He had told me he loved me and we would get married but not to expect it any time soon.  We went on a family beach vacation with my family.   It was a great trip, but as most family vacations it was a little stressful :).  One night we went to play mini golf and my Dad and Angie wanted to be first to putt. Steven was being extra competitive, which I didn’t find odd because if you know Steven you know he is competitive.  I went to hit my ball in the 2nd hole and my ball didn’t go in. The ring box was in the hole!  Steven dropped down on one knee and got my ball out of the hole along with the ring.. He asked and I said YES!
