If you have time to stay a few days, we highly recommend having a beach weekend right there on Treasure Island! There are many different home/condo rentals for that purpose or many different resort options if you are looking for a few more amenities. We are taking a day before and day after the wedding to enjoy the beach ourselves:) St. Pete Beach is about a 10-15min drive south with public parking options so that is a fun area to explore as well close by!
There is also the option of exploring city life if you would like instead! St. Pete is the closest major city (about 10 miles from venue) that offers a variety of fun restaurants/bars, cafes, museums, sporting activities, and overall fun vibe:)
Below are a few places that we suggest trying out but feel free to explore...the area has a lot to offer and you just might discover a hidden gem!
Treasure Island has always been a favorite of ours since college:) cute homes surround the area and beaches have nice white sand to play all the beach games you want! There are many different public access points you can find to park on side streets and walk right to the beach.
5 miles of beautiful beaches with public access! If you're looking for any water activities (jet skiing/parasailing/windsurfing) you can find that here.
A 5min walk from the venue! Located right on the beach for food/drink/live music options. They have cabana rentals as well!
A 9min walk from the venue! Offers house-brewed beers if you're looking for anything local to try. *extra bonus...dogs allowed here!;)*
A fun, laid back place we suggest if you're looking for a seafood meal! Patio seating and open late. PLUS...offers breakfast on the weekends until noon!
Listed as a top place to visit in St. Pete! 30 years of a one-of-a-kind Italian market offering all the staples: baked breads, roasted coffees, specialty cheeses, pastas, and deli sandwiches! Closed on Sundays
If you're arriving a day early and want to catch a baseball game, the TB Rays are playing the NY Yankees on Friday, May 10, at 6:50pm! The Rays home stadium is located in downtown St.Pete at Tropicana Field, about 20min away!
If you're looking for an indoor activity and want to explore one of St. Pete's most visited places, check out the Dali Museum! A unique, multi-sensory art experience highlighting the works of Salvador Dali. Located by the water and a short walk away from the St. Pete Pier.
A fun way to experience all things local--from fresh produce, food trucks, arts and crafts, and more! Saturday morning only from 9am-2pm
