Our Wedding

Jacob and Lindsey didn't actually meet; everyone just knows everyone in Carbondale. They knew of each other from having Spanish class together in 2008. Jacob was more interested in annoying Señora, while Lindsey just wanted to learn. Fast forward 13 years of no interaction, it's July 3, 2021. Lindsey's roommates in Philly were away for the 4th, so she enjoyed some drinks throughout the day. A little past midnight, Jacob Becker popped into her mind and she decided to like one of his profile pictures on Facebook. Almost immediately, Jacob, who also enjoyed the day with some drinks, messaged, "Happy Independence Day!" Jacob went to Philly 2 weeks later for their first date at Sampan, where they both loved the food and each other.

Our Story

Somehow, Jacob found a way to hide the ring in the house for over 3 months before proposing. Lindsey had an inkling it was going to happen at some point because Jacob's browsing history was on display while they searched for a show on his laptop. He carefully packed it in his carry-on, only for his bag to be checked at boarding. The ring successfully made it to Croatia, but he waited until we were alone in Dubrovnik (sorry Sky &amp; Spence). He had planned a date for the proposal, but woke up June 1st and decided that was the day. This worked out perfectly because another couple got engaged on the original plan. They took a cable car ride up Mount Srd that overlooked Dubrovnik. Jacob suggested they get a picture and once she posed, Lindsey could tell Jacob was angled weird. Once she looked at him, he knelt down and asked her to marry him!
