It all started in the Summer of 2022, when Lindsey and Sam met on Hinge. Lindsey was drawn to Sam’s witty humor, and Sam couldn’t resist Lindsey’s adorable orange cat, who, in his mind, was a sign of great things to come. Their first date was at Lucy’s, over a cup of coffee, where Lindsey—being a little shy—avoided eye contact, making Sam wonder if he had somehow messed things up. Little did he know, Lindsey felt more at ease with Sam than she had with anyone new in a long time. Luckily, Sam didn’t scare off, and the two of them became inseparable.Soon after, Lindsey helped Sam get his very own orange cat, Denver, and they started building their little family together. By early 2023, they moved into their first apartment, and not long after, they welcomed Aspen, their second cat, into the mix. The summer was full of adventures, laughter, and falling deeper in love with each passing day.In the Fall of 2023, Sam took Lindsey out to dinner for her birthday, but little did she know, the celebration wasn’t over. While they were out, his sister and brother-in-law were busy setting up a romantic surprise at their apartment. When they arrived back, Sam led Lindsey to the spot where he got down on one knee and proposed—only to be drenched by water from Denver, who had knocked over a vase in the middle of the surprise. It was a proposal to remember, and of course, Lindsey said yes!From their first date to now, every moment has felt like magic, and they can’t wait to spend forever together, making more memories with their cats and continuing to grow in love and laughter.
