I know most of y’all already know that Billy and I met on a dating app, but did you know it actually took two tries for us to realize we’d be deleting it for good?

The first time we swiped right on one another, I was living in Livingston and Billy was in Manvel. We talked a little, but the conversation just kind of fizzled out. About 6 months later, I moved to Cypress (about 30 minutes closer to him), and the app decided to give us another shot! We rematched, and this time it just felt different. Within the first week of getting to know one another, we swapped phone numbers. The first day we exchanged numbers, we spent over five hours talking on the phone! Two hours early in the afternoon and another three later that evening! We discussed the things that were most important to us, what we hoped our futures would look like, and even shared a few laughs that turned into some of our first inside jokes. From that day on, we pretty much haven’t stopped talking.

Now, a year later, here we are, getting ready to say “I do” surrounded by the ones who mean the most to us!
